A New Roof….

The roofing inspector just left. We need a new roof. Now in this area you expect to have to replace a roof because a hurricane ripped it off and threw it in the Gulf of Mexico…..but HAIL?

If I wanted ice to fall out of the sky, I’d live somewhere north of I-10.

I’m not Giggling Any. More.

Your world can shift in the oddest places. Today it was in the grocery store. We were walking down the frozen food aisle and out of the corner of my eye I caught sight of the reflection of someone else in the aisle who was taller than I was. Only that person was my son.

Excuse me? When did THAT happen? He, of course, is suitably thrilled and is enjoying making fun of his “short” mom. I am maintaining that I am now and will always be taller than all of my children and I don’t really care about visual evidence to the contrary.

I got even though….about an hour before my world rocked. I got to read him the riot act about not shaving. I am not giggling any. more.
